7 UoN and 2 Mount Kenya University students are set to hike Mt. Kenya on 14-17 July 2022 to raise awareness of the #O3plus project.

The University of Nairobi was confirmed as the Public Research Organization for the Research and Development (R&D) Impact Project - a project conducted by the Damu-Sasa blood services management system - a cloud-based system that supports blood sourcing, inventory management, transfusion management, haemovigilance, referrals and deferrals. 

Dr. Lydiah Wambugu, a Senior Lecturer in the School of Open and Distance Learning opened a You Tube Channel titled, 'Research Methods Class with Dr. Lydiah Wambugu.'

University of Nairobi graduates are the most preferred by Kenyan employers.

This was revealed by CPS International, a marketing and social research firm that surveyed 67 universities and 50 organizations between November and January in 2019/2020 academic year.

In an article published in the Daily Nation and the Standard Newspaper on Thursday May 7^th,  the University of Nairobi graduate employability was 38.6% followed by Kenyatta University 30%, Moi 25%, JKUAT 19%, Egerton 18%, Maseno 18% and Technical University at 10%.

The University of Nairobi, the Danish Institute for International Studies (DIIS), the Rift Valley Institute (RVI), and Rako Research and Communication Centre based in Hargeisa, Somaliland, will launch a collaborative research project on Diaspora Humanitarianism in Complex Crises (D-Hum).
